Maria Johnson is a seasoned professional with a rich tapestry of experiences and a deep commitment to serving her community. Hailing from Rexburg, Maria's upbringing as the youngest of six instilled in her a profound understanding of the area and its myriad attractions. Following her graduation from Madison High School, Maria embarked on her educational journey at Ricks College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Photography, leading her to a role in the restaurant industry.

Driven by a passion for making a difference, Maria ventured to Olympia, Washington, where she pursued a degree in Para Education from South Puget Sound Community College, specializing in working with special needs children. However, life's unexpected turns led Maria back to Rexburg to support her family after the passing of her father.

Maria found purpose and fulfillment working in the special needs rooms of Madison schools for six years before continuing her education at BYU-Idaho, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in education. Despite facing challenges that led to a transition from the Madison School district, Maria persevered, finding a new role with a company in Idaho Falls, providing invaluable support to children with special needs both in school and within the community.

In May of 2023, during a moment of introspection on her way to a client appointment, Maria experienced a profound realization. She recognized a longstanding fascination with real estate, nurtured by her keen eye for architecture, passion for shows like This Old House, and habit of perusing property listings in her spare time. It was then that Maria resolved to embark on a new journey as a Rexburg real estate agent.

Having completed the necessary coursework, examinations, and paperwork, Maria is now poised to embrace this thrilling new venture. With a unique blend of empathy, resilience, and a lifelong passion for homes and design, Maria looks forward to leveraging her skills and experiences to guide clients through the complexities of the real estate market, helping them find their dream home in Rexburg and beyond.
