George Barnett, Ashton Realtor
George Barnett is a real estate agent at Real Estate Two70 in Eastern Idaho. He is an experienced business owner in Ashton, where he owns and operates the 511 Main Fountain and Pizzeria with his wife Jessica. 511 Main is a popular stop for locals as well as travelers heading to Yellowstone Park and Island Park. As a REALTOR living in Saint Anthony, and a restaurant owner working in Ashton, George Barnett is connected to the Upper Valley community. This is an incredible benefit to his real estate clients because he keeps up-to-date with who is buying and selling in the area.
George’s work experience began in a hardware store and later a local grocery store. Later he became a cook at a restaurant where he eventually became manager of a regional chain location. The years of retail caught up with George and when he had the opportunity to work as a bus mechanic, he took it. These experiences taught him the value of relationships and hard work. Something that now benefits his real estate clients.
Meet George Barnett
He has always enjoyed traveling, but Kansas city was that furthest west he’d ever been until he was 35. That is when he and his wife Jessica, had an opportunity to go to Las Vegas with a group of friends. They fell in love with the scenery. Although Vegas was an impressive and lively city, they spent most of their time in the National Parks in the area. Later they visited Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Glacier, and the big 5 National Parks in Utah in the following years. Needless to say, they fell in love with the west and occasionally talked about moving one day, not realizing how soon it would actually happen.
In January of 2021 they found a beautiful property near Ashton with amazing views of the Tetons. That led to new jobs and they packed up and arrived in Idaho on July 1st, 2021. They’ve loved every minute of it. Now, when they're not working, George, Jessica, and their daughter Claire enjoy the mountains, hiking, swimming, and just being in nature whenever they can.
In January of 2023, they purchased 511 Main Fountain and Pizzeria in Ashton. George says “it’s been a fantastic opportunity to get back to the small town friendly service I grew up with. I love chatting with my customers and getting to know them. Real estate is a natural addition to serving the community for me, so the restaurant and helping people buy and sell homes works great!”
